The LA coroner has released the findings of Casey Johnson’s autopsy today; the official finding is that Casey Johnson, the Johnson and Johnson heiress who died on January 4th 2010, died from diabetic ketoacidosis. Rumors circulate that Casey Johnson wasn’t taking her insulin medication, wasn’t eating correctly and wasn’t exercising as she should. It is also known that Casey Johnson suffered from drug and alcohol abuse in her life, a fact which caused her father, Woody Johnson, owner of the New York Jets, to recently ‘dis-inherit’ her. Casey Johnson had already lost custody of her three year old adopted daughter, Ava, to her mother, Sale Johnson. It was alleged that prior to her death, Casey Johnson was attempting to re-gain custody of her daughter with Tila Tequila, Casey’s fiancee.
Casey Johnson led a troubled life, despite her privileged background; diabetic ketoacidosis is a condition which can be prevented in some instances. Unfortunately, if neglected, it can prove fatal – as in the case of Casey Johnson.
