Its often said that women change their hairstyle to mark a change in their life, the end of a relationship, to make them feel better about something or to make a statement. Or could it simply be that sometimes we just fancy a change? 
Ladies who have been hitting the headlines recently with changing hair styles include:
- Kate Gosselin- Kate and Jon officially split and Kate Gosselin saw the New Year in with some long, luscious locks which apparently took 20 hours to fix. Kate Gosselin was reported as saying: ” I feel like this is a fresh start, a fresh me, a fresh life.” However, Kate’s hair extensions didn’t last long and within a few weeks she had changed her hair style again.
- Britney Spears – singer Britney sported blonde locks initially; in December 2009, she decided to go brunette. However, Britney Spears obviously decided that ‘blondes do have more fun’ because she’s now converted back to her blonde look.
- Snooki - Jersey Shore star Snooki - aka Nicole Polizzi – was famous for her hair pouf, reminscent of a 60’s style. However, Snooki posted a photo of her new look – sans pouf – on twitter on Thursday February 25th 2010.
- Shiloh – Angelina Jolie’s daughter, Shiloh, at just 3 years of age is already asserting her fashion sense in the hair department; Shiloh’s new hair style has been compared to Natalie Portman, and is not all ‘girly’ and long, like many girls of her age. However, it is said that Shiloh is allowed to choose her own clothes too, so it probably won’t be long before she establishes a ‘Jolie’ style for herself

Women will always change their hair style and color – and be talked about for doing so. With spring in the air, there’s probably a few more changing celebrity cuts around the corner too….
