Kate Winslet Ends Marriage Number Two With Sam Mendes, AP Photo
British actress Kate Winslet, 34, has separated from her director husband Sam Mendes after seven years of marriage, according to a Reuters report. No details were given about the separation and it apparently came as a surprise to much of the Hollywood followers, as there was no indication of “troubles” within the British marriage.
This is the second split for Kate Winslet who was previously married to Jim Threapleton from 2001 to 2004. Kate Winslet has a daughter, Mia age 9, with Threapleton, and a son, Joe age 6, with Mendes.
Although Kate Winslet has enjoyed much success in her professional life, with six Academy Award nominations, which resulted in an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in The Reader (2008), plus an impressive list of succesful movies such as Titanic (1997), Iris (2001) and Revoluntionary Road (2008), she appears to have less success in her personal life
