Model Naomi Campbell, 39, appears to be in trouble with the law again, according to an Associated Press release. Naomi Campbell is reported as “slapping and punching” her driver while he was driving her around New York City today, March 2, 2010. The police were called when the driver called 911, and Naomi Campbell apparently “jumped out of the car and ran away.” The incident is under investigation.
British model Naomi Campbell is no stranger to assault charges; her personal life has been littered with accusations and charges of assaults including:
- an assault on her assistant Georgina Galanis in 1998 to which Naomi Campbell pleaded guilty
- an alleged assault on her assistant Amanda Brack in 2005
- an alleged assault on her housekeeper Ana Scolavino in 2007
- an arrest at Heathrow terminal 5 in London in 2008 on suspicion of the assault of a police officer; in the course of the events, Naomi Campbell was banned from flying with British Airways.
Anger management classes have been recommended for Naomi in the course of several of these incidences, in addition to the charges brought against her. Naomi Campbell may be an international fashion model and super model who has appeared on the catwalk in London, Paris and New York, amongst others, in addition to the cover pages of magazines such as Vogue Paris, but it appears that she still has some issues to deal with, in her treatment of those around her
