Just as Miss England successfully gave the marching orders to the bikini in the Miss England beauty contest, the Miss USA beauty contest has come under fire for its latest racy promo photos recently shot in Las Vegas. This is one thing that definately won’t be staying in Vegas though, as photos of this year’s Miss USA contestants posing in nothing more than their sexy lingerie, have already caused controversy. Contest organizers have been accused of causing the controversy to generate increased T.V. ratings.
However, Miss Universe organization owner, Donald Trump, said he had “no problem” with the photos and a former Miss California said the” beauty pageant needs to keep up with the times.” The president of the Miss Universe organization also states that many of the girls who compete in these beauty pageants aspire to be Victoria’s Secret models – who are famous for their lingerie (and less) photo shoots. Mothers of teenage girls are not so sure though.
The Miss USA beauty pageant airs on NBC this weekend. To decide for yourself if the photos of lingerie clad girls is just a T.V. ratings booster, watch the video below.
