The Eastern United States suffered another day of excessive temperatures for the region, with New York City hitting a high of 103 for the second day running. Excessive heat temperatures always bring problems but people often forget that the body needs extra attention and care in extreme temperatures. So, as the mecury rises, ensure that you aren’t at risk from heat stroke and heat exhaustion. Drink plenty of fluids (not alcohol or sugary drinks), keep out of the sun and don’t excessively exercise.
