I visited Paris for the very first time when I was 16 years old. I had a French penfriend (in the days before facebook, e-mail and twitter!) in Paris and she became my guide to Paris for 2 long weeks in the summer of 1986 – Oops! I just revealed my age now ! 
Needless to say I was smitten – although my schoolgirl French left a lot to be desired
Over the years, I paid Paris many fond visits in all seasons – with various people in my life. My most recent visit was 6 years ago with my mom and my sister on a “girls only” weekend. My passion for Paris – as in all first loves – never seems to fade. Hopefully, I’ll get back there one day soon!
