The only daughter of 42nd U.S. President Bill Clinton, Chelsea, 30, married her long time boyfriend of five years, Marc Mezvinsky, on Saturday July 31, 2010 in a very private affair.  However, some details of the Clinton wedding are emerging, including what the bride carried in her wedding bouquet.

According to Us magazine, the florist behind the Clinton wedding bouquet, Jeff Leatham said:

“It was very important (to Chelsea) to keep it organic and natural…The theme, floral wise, was organic, clean, simple and elegant.”

Chelsea Clinton’s wedding bouquet was a simple, white ball of fragrant Gardenia flowers; the men in the wedding party had boutonnieres of Freesia.  Fragrant flowers are a popular choice of many brides and include roses, hydrangea, lilies, lily-of-the-valley and orchids.

As an aromatherapist, I can only say fragrant flowers get my approval every time :)
