Facebook is second nature to many people in today’s world; people use it to network with others and to share photos with family and friends. However, one woman got the shock of her life when she viewed facebook, according to a report on the Today program. In 2005, Lynn France married her “husband”, John Francis, in a lavish, romantic wedding ceremony in Italy and had two children with him. In 2008, she suspected her husband was cheating on her and eventually caught him with another woman in a hotel room. Although John moved out, Lynn wanted to find out more about what had been going on.
She turned to the social media network facebook – and was shocked to discover photos of her husband John and the “other woman” getting married in Florida.
Against her better judgement, Lynn Francis actually took her husband back a few months later when he begged for her forgiveness and promised to get the second marriage annulled. However, not long after that, her husband took the boys and fled to Florida to return to his second life with his new “wife.” Lynn Francis can now only sit and watch as the new “wife” posts photos on facebook of Lynn’s children in “family” outings, and calling them “my boys.”
Lynn and John Francis are now locked in a legal battle over custody of the children ; John Francis also claims that his marriage to Lynn in Italy was never “legal.” He has also expressed “dismay” over Lynn’s decision to go “public” with their divorce and custody battle, despite the fact his new “wife” is posting their life together on facebook.
John Francis is said to be conducting a press conference on Thursday to tell “his” side of the story. Whatever the “true” facts of this case, take note that what goes out on facebook is there for the whole world to see – cheating husbands or not
